Hate and Love

Hi guys! Sorry I've been extremely busy and totally spaced off my Phenoms! Anywho, I've recently heard a lot of people (myself included) throwing around the words "hate" and "love". I feel that society in general, has dumbed down these words to a point where they aren't even befitting their original meaning. "Hate" is supposed to be just that, an EXTREME dislike of a person, place, or thing. Now days, I hear people constantly using "hate" for extremely trivial and un-befitting things. An example, yesterday, I was listening to the radio and a song I don't particularly like came on. I loudly exclaimed to my friends that "I HATE this song!" Later on, I realized that I too throw the word "hate" around way to much.
Next, we have the word "love". In my opinion, this is THE MOST dumbed down word in the entire English language. Society has literally ruined the word's original meaning. Sure, we still know what it means, but we use the word for things that we "like" or have an infatuation towards. Think of how many times you have used the word "love" today. How many times was it? Six? Seven? Ten? Even more? Love is a very complicated thing. We're always talking of "True Love" and such, but do we really know what it means?

Well, I'm done ranting now, so I'll close the post off with a Gospel verse. My favorite verse, in fact!

Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born I set you apart, I appointed you as a prophet of the nations.
"Ah, Sovereign Lord," I said, " I do not know how to speak; I am only a child."
But the Lord said to me, "Do not say, 'I am only a child.' You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you, Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you," declares the Lord. JEREMIAH 1:5-8
